      <image:caption>Pore Matrix’ bioactive porosity elicits a significantly stronger osteogenic response at the cellular level compared to roughened or nano-roughened surfaces on their own. Bioactive porous endplates and central-core porous design promotes new bone on-growth, in-growth and through-growth, leading to greater integration strength over the current market designs. The increased surface area and wicking capability of Pore Matrix improves blood-to-implant contact compared to traditional interbody implants. Use of precise placement of these bioactive and porous components, into the superior and inferior surfaces of an implant, as well as the interior column, would allow for accelerated load-transduction and clear orientation of the implant radiographically. The time-related healing and bonding of bone tissue, to these implants, will lend itself to a sustained microenvironment that is conducive to bone apposition and supportive angiogenesis, wherein vascularity is challenged. While adding bioactivity and in-growth to porous PEEK implants, these implants maintain all the advantages of PEEK and leverages the radiolucent properties of PEEK and ensures better clinical outcomes over PEEK or metal implants.</image:caption>
